Something opened in you. You felt it move.

By Thursday it had gone quiet.

By the following week you are carrying everyone again, and the woman you were in that room, the one who was not holding anything together for anybody, feels like someone you used to know.

You did not lose her. You may have nowhere to keep her.

An online women's circle, so it reaches
you wherever you are

I am building somewhere to support your healing journey.
Somewhere you don’t have to hold it all.

A women's circle you do not have to leave behind on a Sunday night. Drum journeys and somatic guided meditations for the weeks in between.

The Celtic wheel of the year ceremonies and ritual, with women on their healing journeys alongside you.

Live coaching calls on topics important to you.

Nothing to fall behind on. Somewhere to come back to.

It opens later this year, and the first women receive a founding member’s rate that stays theirs for as long as they are in the space.

“I am acutely aware how easily I can drift off course as soon as I am not within the container of your circles. It is really good to hear of your unfolding ideas for more continuation between circles and an ever expanding community."

- Frances

Women have always healed together

Around fires, with the children asleep behind them.

In the corners of convents, in the only rooms that were theirs.

At kitchen tables, with the work in their hands.

In living rooms with the door shut and the record player on.

On a screen at eleven at night, with the house finally quiet.

The form has changed a hundred times.

The gathering itself never has.

When women gather with intention, something happens. We stop performing. We share what is true. We find out we are not the only one, which is the oldest medicine there is.

This is how women have carried each other through birth and grief and rage and change for as long as there have been women, and we have only stopped very recently.

And your body has not forgotten. It does not learn safety from being told it is safe. It learns beside other women who are healing, and it learns slowly, by coming back, and coming back, and coming back.

“Doing my first solo drum journey from your recording under my tree was amazing, empowering, and such a gift.”

A month in the membership

A rhythm to come back to. Not content to get through.

This is for keeping something alive in the middle of an ordinary life. The washing still needs doing. The work still needs doing. And underneath all of it, something in you is still asking for attention.

About the space for membership

Almost every woman in my circles has told me the same thing in her own way. A circle that went wrong somewhere.

The one voice that took up all the room. The advice nobody asked for. The competition running quietly underneath the sharing.

I hold the edges so you do not have to.

You can arrive without scanning the room first, without working out who is safe, without managing anybody. If something needs saying I will say it, early and kindly, and it will never fall to you.

When you put something down here, it is received. Nobody comes at you with a solution, or decides what it means about you, or needs you to be further along than you are.

Nobody is counted, nobody is chased, and nobody minds what kind of week you have had.

It lives on a platform called Circle, away from the rest of your life.

Nothing here shows up in a search for your name. It is not tied to your Facebook or your contacts, so nobody stumbles across you, and nobody outside can see you are a member at all.

You come to it when you want it, and it is waiting.

Is this women’s membership
for you?

Maybe there is a shelf of books somewhere. A course you started. A retreat you came home from glowing and quietly lost by the following month.

None of it was wasted. But somewhere in it, the healing became another thing to do well, and you have been doing it well for years.

You keep reaching. I think that is worth paying attention to. Something in you is still asking, and perhaps it has been asking for a long time.

In my experience it does not answer on its own. It answers in company.

One woman says the thing she has never said out loud. Another nods, because she knows it too. And something in the room settles.

That is the most consistent thing I have seen in thirty years. Not the insight, not the advice. A woman finding out she was never the only one.

"It feels comforting as well as empowering to know that I am not alone."

Founding Members

Most rooms are already made by the time you arrive. The friendships, the shorthand, the way things get done.

This one is not made yet. This is the one you make, with me, from the beginning.

  • Everyone arrives at the same time. The circles and the journeys are ready. What we become together is the part we build.

  • It stays small. Small enough that you will recognise names, and they will recognise yours.

  • You help decide what we do. Which goddess, what topics we explore in the live coaching calls, what ceremony looks like. I hold the edges. The rest we work out together.

  • You come in at £25 a month. At least 50% off of what it will be once the doors open properly.

  • And it stays at £25. For as long as you are here, however much this grows.

Come as you are, at whatever pace your life allows.

"I love the huge depth of content and wisdom you fill our circles with, & the incredibly powerful container you create.”

Your Space Holder

I am Ruth.

Most of my working life has been spent holding rooms for other people. Informal learning, environmental campaigning, public engagement, listening to people living with chronic pain, women's circles. Different rooms, same job.

What I learned early is that people rarely need more information. They need a room steady enough that what they already know can come back up.

Holding a space is active work. It means noticing who has gone quiet. Making sure one voice does not become the only voice. Naming the thing that everyone can feel and nobody has said. Stepping in early rather than hoping it settles. That is my job, and it is not something I hand to the group to sort out among themselves.

I am from Derry, and the Celtic work is my inheritance.

I have also spent two years training in it with Rhonda McCrimmon at the Centre for Shamanism.

Before any of this I researched medieval women healers at the University of St Andrews and University of Glasgow, which taught me how much was truly lost, and how much was invented in the nineteenth century and sold back to us as ancient. When I do not know something, I will tell you.

I care about how these spaces are held, because I have seen what happens when they are not. In September I am speaking at the Pagan Safeguarding Symposium in Glastonbury, on what it takes to make spiritual spaces genuinely safe for the women inside them.

"I have spent years wondering why I am so different to everyone else, putting on a brave face while essentially gaslighting my own trauma. It was a sheer pleasure and relief to walk towards those feelings instead of turning away, in the company of other women making similar journeys. I have tried this before, through things like CBT, but they feel continually effortful and never stuck. This time feels different."

- Sally

How this works

It opens later this year, and you will hear from me before it is announced anywhere.

Founding members pay £25 a month and keep that rate for as long as they stay. After the founding places have been filled, membership will be at £55 - £70 (sliding scale)

Leaving your name costs nothing and holds you to nothing. If you decide it is not for you, one click removes you from the list.
