Self care after sound healing

Like most holistic therapies, sound therapy can trigger a personal response either physically, mentally or emotionally (or all three). It is usually experienced as mild changes from your normal state, and will subside quickly. What you do after the sound is a critical part of your personal process.

Everyone has varied experiences, as we are each on our own unique journey. Every time I have received sound, the experience has been different. I have released by crying, as well as laughing. I have also experienced a profound connection to my ancient ancestors, as well as seen all of my past trauma at once. Sometimes, I see colours and patterns. Other times, I feel a deep connection to the earth beneath me. I can even go to sleep during a session!

Whatever happens, the sounds are always telling me something, and I always learn more about myself. Your journey of growth can be remarkable, if you can honour yourself, and allow yourself to be patient with the process.
