Spring Women’s Circle
with Brigid
Feel her sacred fire igniting in your bones, ready to forge your world anew
Women's Circle: Ancient feminine wisdom embodiment
Bone Deep Women's Circles is a series of seasonal gatherings where women embody ancient feminine wisdom through the Celtic wheel of the year. For each direction of the wheel, we’ll explore and embody the energy of a specific mythic figure - goddesses, legendary beings, and archetypal stories that hold keys to our authentic power.
This spring, we journey with Brigid - the Celtic goddess of the sacred fire, smithcraft, poetry, and fierce independence. Over six Wednesday evenings, we'll explore her many faces: the smith who forges destiny, the poet who speaks truth, the healer who transforms, and the sovereign keeper of the eternal flame.
“Ruth creates a welcoming, safe space in circle to connect with other women and release your tension in an ancient, primal way. A unique experience in Bristol with like minded people. ”

Brigid is the powerful Celtic goddess of the forge, poetry, healing, and the sacred fire that burns in every woman's creative centre. Her name means "the exalted one," and she is the keeper of the flame that transforms raw potential into manifest reality.
The Triple Goddess of Creation: Brigid appears as three sisters - the Smith, the Poet, and the Healer - representing the complete creative process. She doesn't just inspire; she gives you the tools, the voice, and the healing to manifest your visions in the world.
The Unapologetic Creator: In ancient Ireland, Brigid claimed dominion over smithcraft - traditionally a male profession requiring incredible strength and skill. She didn't ask permission; she simply mastered fire and metal, becoming patron of all who forge their own destiny. She represents every woman who has been told her ambitions are "too much" but creates anyway.
Keeper of Sacred Wells: Brigid's holy wells across Ireland and Britain are still sites of pilgrimage. Women have brought their deepest prayers to her waters for millennia - for creativity, fertility, healing, and the courage to birth what wants to emerge through them.
The Fierce Flame: Her sacred fire burned continuously in Kildare for over 1,000 years, tended only by women. This was the eternal flame of creative power that patriarchy could never fully extinguish. The fire that says: "I will not be diminished."
Bridge Between Worlds: Brigid seamlessly became both goddess and saint, proving her power transcends any single tradition. She represents the fierce feminine wisdom that adapts and survives, finding ways to keep the sacred fires burning no matter what tries to suppress them.
Why work with her energy now?
Brigid represents the fierce feminine creative power that the world has tried to contain and control. She embodies:
Sacred Fire - the untamed creative force that burns in your core
Forge Mastery - knowing exactly how much heat and pressure to apply to create what you envision
Fierce Independence - claiming mastery without asking permission
Prophetic Voice - speaking truth through the flame of inspiration
Creative Sovereignty - being the smith of your own destiny
Her connection to spring:
Late January through early spring is Brigid's sacred time, when we enter the East of the Celtic wheel. The East is the direction of new beginnings, dawn, creative fire, and manifestation - where ancient wisdom transforms into tangible reality. This is the season of fierce emergence - when the fire in our bones can no longer be contained and demands to create, to forge, to manifest.
Just as the first green shoots push through frozen ground with unstoppable force, Brigid calls us to break through whatever has been holding back our creative power. This isn't gentle spring energy - this is the fierce heat of the forge, the iron will of the smith, the uncompromising flame that transforms everything it touches.
Brigid doesn't offer gentle encouragement - she offers the sacred fire that demands you forge the life you're meant to live.
Why women need this fierce creative fire now
Everywhere, women are awakening to their creative power - refusing to dim their gifts, tired of making themselves smaller to fit into boxes that were never meant for us. Yet many of us struggle with how to channel this fierce creative energy without apology or permission.
We've been taught that our creative fire is "too much," our vision "unrealistic," our ambition "unfeminine." We've been told to wait for approval, to follow someone else's blueprint, to create what's "practical" instead of what burns in our bones. Meanwhile, we're aching to bring forth what only we can create.
Brigid calls to us now because late winter marks our entry into the East of the Celtic wheel - the season of new beginnings, creative fire, and unapologetic manifestation.
At Imbolc, her sacred time, the light returns and the creative fires that have been banked all winter burst into flame.
The East challenges us to stop waiting and start forging. Brigid helps us understand that we are the smith of our own lives - we hold the hammer, we tend the fire, we shape the destiny.
The world needs what you came here to create.

About Ruth, your Space Holder
I am a holsitic healer, Celtic wisdom keeper, and space holder who guides women back to their authentic power through ancient practices and embodiment. My approach is deeply informed by my own journey of healing from trauma, chronic pain, and ancestral wounds through connection to my Celtic heritage.
I weave together sound therapy, somatic practices, and seasonal wisdom to create sacred spaces where women can reconnect with their fierce, loving, authentic selves. My work honours both the light and shadow aspects of feminine power, creating permission for women to be fully themselves without apology.
