What is Celtic yoga?
Celtic Yoga is an approach to yoga that combines traditional yoga practices with the wisdom and spirituality of the ancient Celts.
It emphasises a deep connection to nature, the cycles of the seasons, and the elements.
In Celtic Yoga, we draw inspiration from the myths, stories, and symbols of Celtic culture to enhance our practice and foster a greater sense of harmony with the world around and within us.
A Celtic sound
healing journey
Our sound healing and drum journey experiences will draw upon Celtic folklore, myths, and the natural world to guide our sonic explorations.
As we journey through these soundscapes, we will connect with the elemental energies of the land, the waters, the sun, the moon, and the sky, allowing their wisdom to guide us towards inner harmony and healing.
During our drum journeys, we may travel to the realm of the Sidhe, the enchanted faerie folk, or seek guidance from the wise old trees of the woodlands.
These journeys will be opportunities to connect with our intuition, our ancestors, and the living spirit of nature, all while experiencing the healing power of rhythm and sound.

Qualified Yoga Teacher, Researcher & Founder of Yoga Rewild
I weave together a deep interest in anatomy, body mechanics and movement patterns with yoga philosophy, Celtic wisdom and a deep love and respect for nature.
I have been practising Yoga for almost 20 years, but it was only when I began teaching 4 years ago did I start to voice my own interpretation and expression of Yoga. This has drawn me back to my Celtic roots, the Goddesses and Green witchcraft.
I have always been fascinated with scales of life, and the cycles and rhythms of the natural world. I explored this as part of my health geography PhD, which I now draw into my Yoga practice and teaching.
I love designing creative, accessible Celtic Yoga Flows and Tree Yoga practices to help people to ground and connect to the body, life rhythms and the natural world.

Qualified Sound TherapistMy journey began with a research degree exploring the lives of medieval women healers, their wisdom unknowingly guiding my own healing path.
Suffering from chronic pain for 13 years, I discovered that genuine healing stems from reconnecting with ourselves and ancient practices.
An accidental gong bath revealed sound as my calling, and drumming became my medicine, alleviating years of pain. In my practice, I bring together the wisdom of the past, such as drum medicine and shamanic practices, with modern research, including polyvagal theory.
Having navigated my own healing journey, I am dedicated to holding space for others, supporting them in rediscovering their innate wisdom through somatic practices.

Sound Channeller and musician
I'm Brillo, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, soundscape artist, medicinal sound practitioner, singer-songwriter, DJ, and producer.
For nearly 30 years, I've been using sound to heal and maintain my own mental and emotional health, refining my understanding and learning how to facilitate healing in others.
Growing up in North Wales, my strong connection to the natural world aided my personal growth, empowering me to transcend limiting perspectives.
Music has always been central to my life, from receiving my first guitar in 1996 to honing my skills on various instruments while living alone up a mountain.
Drumming and making music helped me express and release morbid depression, opening a portal to positivity and even helping me overcome several addictions.
I am humbled to share what I've learned through sound healing and music, helping people discover our innate capacity for balance and spiritual growth.

Reiki practitioner and Reflexologist
I am a fully accredited member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), The UK Reiki Federation and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I have always felt a connection to a deep knowing without fully understanding what it was, over the years I have come to understand this as intuition. Working with others and myself has allowed me to nurture my innate gifts of intuition. I was lucky enough to grow up wild and free on the edge of Dartmoor, it is still the place I am happiest, connected to the hills, woods and the energies of the universe.
I came to Reiki in my early twenties and over the next almost twenty years I shared it with friends and family and practiced on myself. It wasn't until my early forties that I revisited Reiki and trained fully as a practitioner. Just prior to this I had trained and qualified as a Reflexologist, gaining a distinction.
I see my role as a therapist as one of support, empowering people to become advocates for their own healing journeys. I work happily with people of all ages and abilities, from all walks of life.

We deeply respect and honour the Indian roots of yoga. We acknowledge that yoga originates from ancient Indian traditions and has been practiced for thousands of years.
Our intention is not to appropriate or claim ownership of yoga but to explore the universal wisdom inherent in both yoga and Celtic spirituality.
We believe that many ancient traditions share common threads of connection to nature, the cycles of life, and the journey of self-discovery.
By mindfully weaving together the practices of yoga and Celtic traditions, we aim to create a space for personal growth and healing that respects both lineages.
We encourage all participants to approach this retreat with an open heart, a willingness to learn, and respect for the diverse cultures that have contributed to the practices we will explore together.
